BIO

Kris is an award wining Senior Editor, with more than 25 years experience, spanning both commercial and long form.

Having cut her teeth in advertising, she then worked on films such as Moulin Rouge, Superman Returns, Peter Pan and The Magician.

She then expanded into indigenous documentaries for SBS, music and social justice documentaries for streamers, and found a joy in trailers.

She now does a mix of all of these things, and finds her drama skills make for better advertising.

Initially studying at the Conservatorium of Music, Kris planned on being an electro-acoustic composer, but some how ended up a film editor.

She can compose a piano track for your TVC, or take on complex music scoring and sound design.

She is drawn to editing documentary style, and finding the emotional truth of any story.  Hand her the rushes and she will make you a film.

But don’t think that stops her making some slick traditional advertising or making Superman fly through the sky in Previz.

Over the years she has worked with all the major agencies in both Sydney & Melbourne, on big brand commercials and campaigns.

She has more than 25 years experience in brand positioning, and understanding a client’s needs.

In 2020, Kris was awarded ‘Best Editing in a Video Clip’ by the Australian Screen Editors Guild for her work on Mick Flannery, Wasteland, Dir Sinead McDevitt.

She has a full editing suite in Sydney that she can take anywhere around the world, or is comfortable in the office managing a room full of 10 creatives and clients.
