Born in Amsterdam. Schooled in Germany. Based in Melbourne.

With more than 15 years of industry experience along with a fair few accolades for his commercial work, Cesar knows where to point a light but also not afraid to turn them off and play in the shadows.

Having been brought up in the 90’s in a European multilingual household, his ability to communicate with Directors, Producers or Crew in Spanish, German, Dutch & English has made him a sought after asset on both local and international productions.

Having a dynamic aesthetic style and keen eye for composition has earned him directing credits on three seasons of Grand Designs Australia, but Head of Camera-Department is where he gets his biggest buzz.

His skill as a Cinematographer ranges from polished TVC’s, grungy Music Videos, high-end TV content to fast and furious documentary work. He simply can’t pick between his favourite child…

Each project comes with a new challenge and he loves a good PPM over a bowl of hot & spicy chilli dumplings.

Few things to note – he loves wearing cargo-shorts all year round and you haven’t lived until you’ve tried chips with mayonnaise…
